Three men were arrested and two have been charged with going
equipped for theft in Aylesbury.
The men were arrested just after midnight on Thursday (6/2)
in Nether Winchendon, Aylesbury Vale.
Two suspicious vehicles were reported to have been seen on a
driveway of a farm. Shortly afterwards, police stopped a vehicle nearby and,
upon searching it, found what was believed to be diesel siphoning equipment and
six 25 litre drums.
Mantas Baksys aged 21, from Essex, has been charged with one
count of going equipped for theft and one count of failing to comply with
notification requirements under the Sexual Offences Act 2003. Edgaras
Damofejevas, aged 22, from Essex, has been charged with one count of going
equipped to commit theft.
Both men are appearing at High Wycombe Magistrates’
Court this morning (7/2).
A 23-year-old man also from Essex was arrested on suspicion
of going equipped and has been released on police bail until Thursday 13 March.
Police officers are currently searching for a fourth man in
connection with the incident.
